Life Path

A long-running reflective lens calculated from your complete birth date.

Life Path invites you to compare broad themes of pace, learning, and recurring orientation with your lived experience over time.

Current app calculation

How calculations work

pythagorean_app_v1 / Pythagorean numerology (app v1)

The app uses one documented Pythagorean-style method so the same accepted input produces the same result on-device. The formula is stable, but the interpretation remains a symbolic prompt rather than a measurement.

Master-number policy

The common reducer preserves 11, 22, and 33. They can also be considered through reduced roots 2, 4, and 6. Birthday preserves 11 and 22; a calendar day cannot produce 33. Master numbers are not ranked above other numbers.

Name-character policy

Name calculations recognize A-Z letters without case differences. Spaces, punctuation, and characters that do not map to A-Z are ignored. Soul Urge uses A, E, I, O, U, and Y; Personality uses the remaining recognized letters. If a selected subset is empty, app v1 falls back to all recognized letters and discloses that behavior.

Life Path: 9 November 2000

Input: 2000-11-09

  1. Read every digit in the year, zero-padded month, and day: 2, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 0, 9.
  2. Add the digits: 2 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 1 + 1 + 0 + 9 = 13.
  3. Reduce 13: 1 + 3 = 4.

Life Path 4 under pythagorean_app_v1. A component-first tradition may produce a different value.

Name lenses: Ada Lovelace

Input: Ada Lovelace

  1. Expression totals every recognized letter: 36, which reduces to 9.
  2. Soul Urge totals A, A, O, E, A, E: 19, then 1 + 9 = 10 and 1 + 0 = 1.
  3. Personality totals D, L, V, L, C: 17, then 1 + 7 = 8.

Expression 9, Soul Urge 1, and Personality 8.

Personal Year to Personal Day chain

Input: Birth date 1990-02-05 and selected date 2026-08-02

  1. Personal Year adds birth month 2, birth day 5, and selected-year digits 2 + 0 + 2 + 6: total 17, then 1 + 7 = 8.
  2. Personal Month adds Personal Year 8 and calendar month 8: total 16, then 1 + 6 = 7.
  3. Personal Day adds Personal Month 7 and calendar day 2: total 9.

Personal Year 8, Personal Month 7, and Personal Day 9 for the selected date.

Why methods differ

Other numerology traditions may reduce date components separately, segment names, treat Y or W by pronunciation, preserve a different master-number set, or use another alphabet mapping. Those choices can produce a different value without making either result scientific fact.

Limits

  • A calculation records how this app transforms accepted characters and dates; it does not verify a personality or forecast an outcome.
  • The fixed A-Z and vowel policies are transparent compatibility choices, not universal language rules.
  • Interpretations are reflective editorial content and should be compared with lived experience, context, and evidence.

Numerology traditions can reduce dates, names, and master numbers differently. This method documents the stable rules used by this app so results do not change silently.
